Imagine the best tour that you have been on and then multiply that by ten--that is the food tour we did. Led by the animated and knowledgeable Alessandro, we were taken on an interactive, hands-on exploration of Bologna's finest cuisine. In addition to visiting the factories where Parmiggiano-Reggiano and Italian prosciutto are produced as well as the family home where specialty balsamic vinegar is made, we were treated to an exquisite three course lunch (with wine!) at an organic restaurant/winery. The entire day was a blast--fueled by Alessandro's enthusiasm which encouraged our group to have some fun and get to know each other. Not only did we learn about Bolognese food and culture, but also met people from different backgrounds and countries. I give the highest recommendation for this experience and guarantee that it will be nothing like you have ever experienced before. Go hungry and open-minded!
