BOOKING AND PAYMENT
- Is it safe to pay online?
Yes. When you pay by credit card your data go through a secure and encrypted connection and the payment is managed by Paypal, world leader for safe online transactions.
- Can I pay with my credit card?
Yes, we accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and other major credit cards.
- I don’t have Paypal. Can I still pay with my credit card?
Yes. The payment will be managed by the Paypal company, but you don’t need to have a Paypal account, just a regular credit card. After the check-out you will reach a page where you will be asked: "Pay with Paypal account?" and just below "Don’t have a Paypal account?" Click this second link and you will be able to enter your credit card data. For any issue please contact us, we will be happy to help.
- Can I pay with bank transfer?
Yes. Although paying with credit card is generally easier, we accept payment with bank transfer. Write us at email@example.com and we will reply with our banking details.
- Will you send me an invoice?
Yes. We produce an invoice for each transaction. If you would like to receive the invoice please write it in the notes section when booking your tour or write to firstname.lastname@example.org requesting the invoice and we will email it to you.
- I made the payment, what now?
Now we will make all the necessary arrangements for your services. In 2-3 days you will receive an email with the final PDF voucher with all the details of your services (meeting point, guide/driver name, etc.). Please note that depending on the number of requests in a particular time it may take longer (up to one week). In any case, if your tour is due within two days and you still haven’t received your voucher please contact us.
- I didn’t receive the voucher, what should I do?
Generally we send the vouchers 3-4 days after the booking date or about one month before the tour date. If your tour is due in less than one week and you still have not received the vouchers please contact us or call us at +1 617 418 1860 or +39 346 233 0008.
- Why do you ask my hotel information?
Having the name of the hotel where you are staying is not mandatory so you may go ahead with the booking even without providing this information. However it is very useful for us to know the hotel name in case we need to contact you while you are already in Italy.
- Are museum tickets included in the price?
Tickets are included for major sites where we can book in advance and have quick access to skip the line (e.g. Vatican Museums and Colosseum in Rome, Uffizi and Accademia Gallery in Florence, others). For small sites and churches where it is not possible to book in advance, tickets will be paid on the spot to the guide or at the entrance. On the description page of each tour you will find clearly explaind if the tickets are included or not. If you are not sure email us and we will be happy to provide all clarifications you may need
- Do you offer tours for cruise passengers?
Yes. We offer tours from many port of calls: Civitavecchia, Livorno (Leghorn), Naples, Venice and others. To see the complete listing click here.
- I don't find the tour I want, what can I do?
If you cannot find the tour you want, no worries. Just email us explaining what you are looking for and we will be happy to make a customized solution based on your needs.
- I have some mobility limitations, can I book a tour?
Yes, but make sure to write it in the notes section of your booking so that we know. Please provide some details so we can arrange the services accordingly.
- Is there a dress code to enter the Vatican?
Yes, there is a strict dress code to enter the Basilica of Saint Peter. For women clothing must cover shoulders, belly and knees. Men must have long pants covering the legs entirely. The rule is enforced at the entrance of the Basilica and sometimes also at the entrance of the Sistine Chapel. We recommend adhering to the dress code for not risking that entry will be denied.
- What is the difference between a PRIVATE and a SMALL GROUP tour?
With a PRIVATE tour the guide is entirely dedicated to you. This means you are not part of group, you may decide the starting time and pace of the visit. Private tours are offered in many different languages. Itineraries of private tours may be customized based on your needs. With a SMALL GROUP you cannot modify the itinerary, the tours are only in English, the starting time is set and cannot be changed. The nice thing about small group tour is that they are cheaper and the group is really small, on average 5-6 people with a maximum of 12.
- Do the tours include transportation?
In the description page of each tour you will find the information regarding transportation. Some of our tours are done entirely walking, for some others the transportation is optional, this means it can be added through the options menu on the website at the time of booking. For some other tours the transportation is included (e.g. shore excursions, transfers and daytrips). If you are not sure email us and we will be happy to provide all clarifications you may need
- Where will I meet the guide?
You will find all the meeting point information clearly explained in your voucher. For some tours the meeting point will be at a the first site of the itinerary. For some other tours we will be happy to schedule the meeting with your guide directly at your hotel. If you wish to enjoy this option just write it in the notes section when providing your information at the time of booking on the website. Please note that the tour duration will begin when you meet the guide. If your hotel is not centrally located it will not be possible to meet the guide at the hotel. In any case we will give you confirmation about the meeting point well in advance.
