Mount Etna Tour from Taormina

Onboard a 4WD you will reach the Etna Park and experience the change in the landscape while you ascend to an altitude of 1,400 meters (4,600 ft) to the extinct craters of the volcano. Here your expert guide will take you for an easy walk around the craters to learn about the volcano and its eruptions before heading to an intriguing lava cave where, equipped with helmets, ropes and flashlights you will explore the old lava flows. 

Next stop of your private Etna tour will be Valle del Bove where we will reach the altitude of 2,150 meters (7,000 ft) and have a breathtaking panorama on the volcano and its surroundings. After admiring the scenery it will be time for a typical Sicilian lunch in a local chalet on the slopes of the Etna where, if you wish, you can sample the Sicilian specialties and taste the renowned Etna wines. 

Last stops of this day tour will be the Dagala valley and Piano Provenzana, areas that were affected by the 2002 eruption, the largest in recent decades. At the end of the tour your driver will take you back to your hotel in Taormina (or Catania).

This is a private tour so you will not be part of a group. You will have a local private driver/guide with great experience of the area and a 4WD vehicle entirely dedicated to you.
