Pisa and Lucca Daytrip from Florence

A private driver will pick you up at your hotel and take you to Pisa (about one and half hour drive from Florence). In Pisa you will have free time to visit Piazza dei Miracoli, the great square where all the main historical buildings are located: the Leaning Tower, one of the most famous monuments in the world;  the Baptistry, started in 1152, with the sculptures of Nicola Pisano; the magnificent Cathedral, built between the 11th and 12th century.  If you wish to climb on top of the leaning tower, we will make for you the necessary advanced reservation. At the end of this first part of the visit there will be time for a short lunch break in a typical restaurant in either Lucca or Pisa. After the break, the tour will continue in Lucca (about 45 minutes drive from Pisa) a lovely town very rich in history. Here you will have the possibility of visiting the ring of the incredibly well preserved Renaissance walls that surround the town; Piazza Anfiteatro, a round square built on the site of an ancient Roman amphitheater; the Duomo of Saint Martin, the fascinating cathedral dating back 1062; the Torre Guinigi, a Medieval tower topped by the oaks of its hanging garden (climbing up the tower will be done based on time availability). At the end of the tour in Lucca, the driver will take you back to your hotel in Florence.
